What is Neurodiversity and How Can Counselling Help?
Neurodiversity recognises that differences in how people think, feel, communicate, and experience the world are natural variations of the human brain. Conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and Tourette’s syndrome are part of neurodiversity and are not something that needs to be “fixed.” Counselling can provide a safe, supportive space to explore emotions, relationships, identity, sensory experiences, anxiety, burnout, and self-esteem in a way that respects each person’s unique way of thinking and processing the world.
